About Us
Why Did We Start SRA?
Relocating to Spain can feel like an obstacle course—endless paperwork, unexpected surprises, and just when you think you have everything, another form pops up. Opening a bank account? Feels like cracking a secret code. Finding an apartment? Like a scavenger hunt where you're never quite sure if you've won or walked into a 'fixer-upper.'

Whether you're moving for work, retirement, study abroad, or a fresh start, the process can feel like a maze with no clear map. When I moved from the U.S. to Spain, I quickly realized how overwhelming it all was. Visas, legal paperwork, housing, healthcare, banking—I spent countless hours navigating a system I didn’t fully understand, often in a language I barely spoke.

I searched for help, but there was no single company that handled everything. I found one service for visas, another for moving my belongings, and still another for finding an apartment. But banking, healthcare, and registration? That was a DIY nightmare, filled with frustrating bureaucracy and endless research.

Many people then proceeded in the follow years to ask us "How can we move to Spain? I don't even speak Spanish! Is it possible?" "How do I even start to navigate the visa process, ithere's so much info online, I don't even know where to start?" "How do I ship my stuff overseas?" "After I get my visa, do you just rent on AirBnB or how can I find a house if I am not there yet?" "How much money do I need to live comfortably there?" "Should I live in a big city like Madrid, Barcelona or should I live in the countryside by the ocean?" We helped everyone as much as we could, we totally understand their hopeless feeling of a long, uphill battle ahead of them.
Finally, we decided to create Spain Relocation Advisors (SRA). My team and I built the one-stop shop I wish I had—a service that takes the stress out of moving by handling everything in one place and answering all of your questions.

Our Story

​We're Tyler Roberts and Maria Sanchez Pablo, a married couple living here in Madrid, Spain. Our journey began in the vibrant city of Shanghai, China, back in 2016. After living there for three years, we moved to Spain, where we’ve spent the last seven wonderful years embracing our diverse backgrounds—Tyler from Nashville, Tennessee, and Maria from Madrid. We are both fluent in English and Spanish, and Maria even speaks Chinese fluently.
The joy of our life is our 2 year old toddler named Liam. We are raising him in here in Madrid and even have another baby boy on the way in 2025!

With the two boys lighting a fire under our tails, we are more passionate than ever about helping others turn their dreams into reality and navigate their own adventures of moving to this lovely country we call home.
